Dermaplaning is a manual form of exfoliation. Products are applied and a small surgical scalpel is drawn over the skin at a 45-degree angle.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Am I going to grow a beard after?
Absolutely not! Vellus hair (peach fuzz) is a different type of hair to others of the body. As it grows back, it will do so at the same rate and same thickness as before. Rest assured none of our Dermaplaning clients have gone on to grow any beards here in Devon!
Does it hurt?
Not at all. You will feel no pain during this treatment.
Can I wear makeup afterwards?
It is recommended to leave your skin squeeky clean for a day afterwards but from then on you can wear makeup as normal. It will actually apply so much better and look smoother after Dermaplaning.
Is it suitable for everyone?
Dermaplaning is suitable for most skin types. However, people who are acne prone should be cautious as lots of active acne may mean the treatment can not go ahead as the scalpel cannot be drawn over the skin. One or two pimples can be avoided but if you have a large breakout please contact us prior to your appointment for advice.
